Handmade happiness by Jen keastead
combining her hobbies of crafting and beach combing, Jen offers one of a kind, unique, handcrafted items. With her 2 children usually in tow, she enjoys treasure hunting the local east coast beaches in search of the perfect pieces to create sea glass/pebble art and sea glass jewelry.
No two pieces are exactly the same. Perfect gifts for every occasion. Each piece of sea-glass found is handpicked and tumbled naturally by the sea. In addition Jen enjoys making polymer clay creations (including fairy doors, fairy houses and holiday figurines)
worn by waves, recycled by the sea, sea glass is a product of both nature and man. Bottles, jars and glass carelessly discarded are tumbled by the ocean to form these colorful gems of the shores. these lovely collectible beach gems are vanishing due to the production of more plastics and recycling. older colors of sea glass like red, blue and aqua are becoming smaller and smaller as they continue to age and break down. called many things, sea glass, beach glass mermaid tears, ocean glass, it is all beautiful and fun to collect. it truly resembles a gem and cannot be reproduced in the same beauty by artificial means. the frost and pitting of genuine sea glass is how you can tell it was made by the sea.
